Finally Got Canned By Cyborg

What I have dreading for this to happened finally happened…

I got fu(ked by Cyborg finally…

cyborgcan01

You see, Cyborg has the ability to set the level which it would stop taking position after a certain Martingale level. In my case, I only set it to only take the 3th level and nothing more… As you can see, the red lines were the level Cyborg took and the red dash line was my stop…

Sighh… so I was stopped out and that took out 10% of my balance which amounted to more or less $50 bucks…

cyborgcan02

I… being human, started to toy around with the ‘What if’ scenario… If you look at the blue dash lined… the top most blue line would be my fourth position taken on the 4th Martingale level (1.4009) and the take profit would be at 1.3990 (I believe) which would mean that I would come out alive this morning…

Sighhh…..But it is only all ‘what if’…

On the other hand… going by martingale rule… I would have quadruple my lost if the price does not come back down… which would mean 4 x $50 = $200!!! that’s 33% of my equity balance…

At least now my mind is slightly at easy. Still my mind is still twirling with all these emotions… Even in auto trader this psyco $hit can still happened. One really dangerous thought keep playing back and forth in my head. I wanted to take revenge on the market that did this to me… I wanted to do another quick w@nk!

But I have to stop myself from doing this… How? Well… by posting this on my blog… :)

Accountability to the world…

I SHALL NOT DO A QUICK W@NK WITH CYBORG!

Good advice! If I do say so myself… :)

NFA ~ New Ruling Might be Worrying

Since the first release of new regulations by the NFA on US brokers, I was a bit tad worried about my account with both IBFX and FXDD.

NFANFA is or had released these three new regulations…

* No Hedging
* First In First Out (FIFO)
* Not Allowing Stop Loss or Limit Order

Of all the three rulings release, it is the third rule that really got me really worried. But before I jump the guns… I had to find out what is it all about and what are the implications it will have on me. So I scour the internet and found this site is so far the best informative information about these new rulings.

FXStreet ~ Facing the New NFA Regulation

The articles and comments posted are and I believe to be big whale professional traders. Trading million dollar accounts. I am just an amateur trader.. small time punter, automatically trading the market, toying around with robots, which trade on mini and micro account with small amount of capital..

Perfomances As Of End June 09

It’s the time of the month again where I review my month end performances. But this time round I think I need to really look into this much more deeper. As June closes, it means half of the year has gone. So how did I fair? After numerous thoughts, and action change and philosophical ideals, did my performances changed?

Let’s have a look…

June09

Last month I came out slightly better… and it seems that I am slowly moving out of the rut from a month end total lost of $417 in April to -$65 in May and profit of $20.90 in June 09. Just to note… I have to deduct $100 because I added another $100 into my FXDD account to start trading Forex Barometer.

Overall my last half month was a failure. I have taken myself back $225 from my objective to recoup my initial capital. I am really hoping to break even by the end of this year, which is my target and goal for 2009.

And once that is done, my target is to recoup my initial investments on buying all these forex EA by mid 2010. Subsequently start profiting after mid 2010.

Bold? I don’t know… but at least it’s a goal.

Fedora FX

Having backtested Fedora FX… I thought it would be a good idea to send back my result to Tom first and allow him to comment on it first before I write my ‘low down dirty Shane’ about it.

Tom has given me two EA, one of it is for GBPUSD which the performances is being advertising on his site while the other EA was for USDCAD. So I started with GBPUSD, while backtesting result for GBPUSD was excellent from 2008 to May 2009..

Much needs to be said for USDCAD…

So discarding USDCAD… I push the backtesting results for GBPUSD to 1999… And I was pretty sad with the results

A Quick Wank is a NO-NO!

It’s confession time. At times I like to have a quick wank at forex. It is becoming too often and very scary and I believe I need to see a doctor about it…

You see… last thurday I thought I could get away with a quick shot on profit with Cyborg EA. I mean… hey I seem to be getting quite a good winning streak on my IBFX account with Cyborg. So… why not…

Devil The uttering of these two word ‘Why Not’ drew the devil inside of me. On top of that my chinese blood in me just had to scream ‘Punt! Punt! Punt! Punt!’

Gawd dang!! I am just sooooo weak…

I said to myself JUST one or two punt for that day. My luck could not be that bad right? I mean looking at how well Cyborg has been performing

So there I was… ok… maybe it wasn’t me. But somehow something happened and I move my risk level to 5% from my current 1% of my trading balance with Cyborg… ON ALL THREE CURRENCY PAIR!!

As the day have it… two trades were triggered at 0.56 lots on a $600 account balance going on a Martingale strategy on the first degree going up to 4.72 to the fourth degree!!

Who says this is not crazy risk, please raise up your hand?

I was really procrastinating doing this update. I am so ashamed and do not want to accept the fact that May 09 was not as profitable as I wanted it to be.

Plainly… it was again due to stupidity. Sighh…. oh well… it needs to be done so that I can review previous month and correct it again this month.

Here is my result for end May 09

Martingale Strategy

Filed Under (EA System, Journal) by Casey on 01-06-2009

This first order of business when I started to do backtesting was to backtest Cyborg EA. On top of that, I was also backtesting another EA PipMaker V3.15… (Open source edited to include Martingale Strategy)

Now PipMaker was a tough sucker to backtest. Why? Because it took like 2 hours just to backtest one currency pair… And it was not from 1999 till todate. It was from 01/01/2008 till 29/05/2009… My gawd! And I was backtesting it on both broker… Interbank and Alpari. Two of what I would say my main account.

Anyway… it was pretty interesting. Before I dive into the actual backtesting results. I wanted to express my view on Martingale Strategy.

Martingale system has been widely used in casino but I have never come across it until a few months back when I was looking into Forex Funnel. Did not dive into it until I got Cyborg EA. And did not backtest it until well…. last week when my penpal forwarded to me PipMaker V3.15

Martingale stategy is a really scary strategy. In casino using Martingale startegy, you double up your bet just to win 1 credit… This strategy was mostly used in Roulette playing black/red. You double up your bet when you lose your initial bet and continue to double up until you hit a win.

And you only win 1 credit… Here is a clearer explaination on wikipedia… Martingale Betting System .

And here is my personal experiences with casino roulette systems … (What can I say… I just love gambling) :)

UPDATE : Edited for clarity purpose… Since the post ‘Finally Decompiled’ was forced to be taken down. This would be in references to ‘Finally Decompiled Revision 1′ (Which at the time of this update is till being edited also for clarity purpose

I wasn’t too sure if I wanted to share this finding on my previous post ‘Finally Decompiled ‘ but I guess I should explain this first.

I did mentioned that when I decompiled FAPTurbo 36 and 37. I found that the two ingredient to make FAPTurbo work. One needs both the LICENSE copy and the ID KEY in order for this EA to work.

The author manage to hide this two sub routine or sub programs very well in the dll files so even if I manage to find the flaw within the to run even when the LICENSE expires. One would still need the ID KEY.

So what am I trying to get here?

EA Firebird Driven

Filed Under (EA System, Journal) by Casey on 20-03-2009

Well, let me take the time to write up about this wonderful EA… I googled this and could not find it anywhere but in a forum. Apparently it was made by a guy (don’t know who) and he shared it with the forum community. After many discussion it somehow or rather evolve itself. Many EA seems to be using and improving this EA.

I am not in the technical know how to fully understand the potential of this EA and why is it so talked about. Forex Maestro seems to be using FireBird EA as it’s basis. The author has somehow manage to improve on it and resell it for a cool $197 a pop.

*I would make a lot of money if I knew programing*

Anyway… the point I want to share is this. After reading, browsing and skipping thread after thread in the forum and trying to understand what this EA is all about, I stumble upon this very interesting post. It was a post by a user ‘SamuraiPower’ in ForexFactory.com forum here (Post #2090). So what I did was I used Don’s template to identify the trend and then ‘Drive’ the EA as per what SamuraiPower suggested. Read the rest of this entry »
