After X Guy ask if I could share stats or forex performances, I stumble upon a very interesting site. MT4Stats.com .

It seems like you can create as many account as you like, and share the links to your mt4 account trading performances.

Well, X Guy… I will be posting my result soon as promised. So that you can compare. I am going to create 4 account one for each broker…

This site rocks… It’s going to be the first link on my blogroll widget… :)

All my account is displayed via this link. It is only as of this month. I do not think it would be interesting to show you my whole account… It would be very embarrasing for me… :)

I think I will put up a page for those who are interested to see my live results…

Alpari – FAPTurbo used

Interbank – Don Steintz MTF Forex Trading Robot

FXDD – FAPTurbo (cracked version)

Masterforex – FAPTurbo (cracked version)

Happy EA trading!! :)

Looking back at 2008

Yes, it is a tad late but since I have already put my house or rather my plans with Forex EA in order. I thought it would be good time to look back at how I did in 2008.

I was monitoring it till June 2008 on my previous site, which I am thinking of ‘renovating’ it. But…. one thing at a time. So here is how I did so far…

2008 Forex EA Performance

Not so clear… but I have about 4 account, if you include Liteforex then it would be 5. I have hid the column with of Liteforex, because my page can’t take in another column. It will make this image smaller that it looks. Anyhow, Liteforex account has been closed. And you can see I have withdrew, $17 bucks out, which means I made a lost of 103 in that account.

So as you can see, Interbank is mostly Don Steinitz MTF Forex Robot Trader. FXDD, was plan and simple. A bunch of EA that mess my account up couple with my ‘Dumb Dumb ‘ episode. Masterforex and Liteforex was my trial macro account, where I toy around with EA live. And Alpari is solely my FAP Turbo EA.

As of end 2008, I am down 1000 bucks… shit happens and can cause u money when u do dumb things. Lesson learned…. And what a year of learning it was. Call it my tuition fee for the year 2008.

As for 2009, my target would be to recoup my 2008 losses. It’s not going to be fast, but I do hope that it would be interesting and exciting. Still a long way… but we will see…

I will start posting my month end performances probabily early of every new month to see if I am on target. Let’s wait for Feb 09 to end and I will post Jan 09 and Feb 09 together…

Happy EA trading… :)

I bought this EA on the 24 April 2008. I bought it because there was a huge and interesting review on ForexPeaceArmy.com

Most reviews were very interesting positive. So I went to the site and found that there were great support, forum, contact, videos were great. And the explaination about how the robot work were also explained. The reason why I bought it was because it reminded me about a book I read ‘Trading for A Living ‘ by Dr Alexander Elder . In his book he mention a strategy about viewing 3 different timeframe window or the ‘Three Screen’ strategy.

MTF Forex Robot Trader using the same analogy filtering through different timeframe and taking position base on the direction the main trend that is is moving towards. Don Steinitz’s strategy is obviously more complicated than that.

When I say complicated I really do mean complicated. It is not exactly a set and forget strategy. Even though he does mention you can set it and forget it. His robot has a lot of parameters which you can tweak but of course he does not advice you to do so. It is more for professionals who want to optimizes his robot further.

For a beginner like me, I tweaked it. I tweaked it in a way because it was confusing in the first place for me. And that is what happenned when you tweak with something you don’t understand and go live with it… Ok… that was history before the dumb dumb post got about… :)

Anyhoo…. I am down $500 with MTF Forex Trader… after 9 months. (Click here to view my statement) So sad…

But I do not want to give up on this robot just yet. This robot requires a lot of reading on his sites. This robot is not about setting it and forgetting it like FAP Turbo… This EA needs you to learn and understand what exactly or how exactly this robot works.

I hope to do that…. soon…. :)

Really need to get this robot in the profitable mode before I start looking at any other EA…

What a mess!!

My Forex EA…

Ok… I guess it is about time I started my write about all my EA that I have bought. I have been so caught up with monitoring my EA performances that I forgotten to update my blog. Well I guess now it’s the time…

I have toying around with Forex EA since early this year and I have found a few EA that is pretty interesting. Unfortunately to know if an EA is really good, one have to test it live.

Now one of the reason why it should be tested live is because firstly not all demo account interact or execute the same way as a real live account. On top of that not all broker are created equal. Why do I say this? It is because I have tested one similar EA on two different broker and both does not execute the same order at the same time.

So while back testing and forward result could be a good indication that the Forex EA is reliable, it is in the execution on our part that would determine if the EA is good or not. So the two factors that really got to me is demo result and which broker should I use.

Oh and another thing…. TIME. Over the past few months, I have tested LIVE on a few different broker and I must say my result are very very bad…. Ok granted that I have mess around with the original settings, and did not really put it to a full 3 months tests to see if it is as realiable as it states. So one can not say that an EA is really bad until it at least ful fill a set or criteria no??

Anyway… here are the EA that I have bought and tested.

  1. EA Shark
  2. EA Griffin
  3. EA WSS (Winning Solutions System)
  4. EA Trendstuffer
  5. EA MTS (Forex Robot Trader)
  6. EA Touch the Sky
  7. EA AutoCashRobot
  8. EA AutoPilot
  9. EA Prophet
  10. EA Goldminer
  11. EA Tracer

Wow… never realize that I have so many EA and yet I have not really done well on my account…

Sigh…

Well, as I have said, it is more on the execution and I would probabily add that it is more me and anything else. I have never really proven it or taken it to test to see how well it is performing before jumping into another EA.

Out of all the EA, I am now currently running a few EA and be more consistent and try not to tweak the settings to see how well it perform over the next few months.

Oh well… start getting back to work and see if I can get good results with the EA that I have…
