Slap Me Silly Please…

As if got slapped by Cyborg once was not good enough… I got another slap my Cyborg again on the next day…

cyborgcan04

I took it both ways… slapped on the way up and then slapped again on the way down…

Man it was really painful… And usually with this sort of pain I start to wonder again about the what if.. If my first trade was maintained… I would not have entered that fu(king second trade..

I re looked at the graph again today… if I had change my settings to take the forth degree… THIS WOULD EPISODE WOULD NOT HAVE BLOODY HAPPENED!!!

Sigh…. I am so sad… So sad that I was stumped and could not even think of any other thing to write about… It took me like 5 days to heal this heartbreak man… *Sniff sniff* and today I had to acknowledge this pain.

One good thing… at the time of this writing… I got back to the winning ways again with Cyborg. So let’s hope that I can recoup these losses by the end of the month.

Here is another reply to NameBlank on my comment section… While I did not increase my trade.. Cyborg actually reduce my trade by half…  I had put the setting Risk to 2.

So I guess this works out just fine. My second slap was not as painful as my first… but it was still a painful slap nevertheless…

Finally Got Canned By Cyborg

What I have dreading for this to happened finally happened…

I got fu(ked by Cyborg finally…

cyborgcan01

You see, Cyborg has the ability to set the level which it would stop taking position after a certain Martingale level. In my case, I only set it to only take the 3th level and nothing more… As you can see, the red lines were the level Cyborg took and the red dash line was my stop…

Sighh… so I was stopped out and that took out 10% of my balance which amounted to more or less $50 bucks…

cyborgcan02

I… being human, started to toy around with the ‘What if’ scenario… If you look at the blue dash lined… the top most blue line would be my fourth position taken on the 4th Martingale level (1.4009) and the take profit would be at 1.3990 (I believe) which would mean that I would come out alive this morning…

Sighhh…..But it is only all ‘what if’…

On the other hand… going by martingale rule… I would have quadruple my lost if the price does not come back down… which would mean 4 x $50 = $200!!! that’s 33% of my equity balance…

At least now my mind is slightly at easy. Still my mind is still twirling with all these emotions… Even in auto trader this psyco $hit can still happened. One really dangerous thought keep playing back and forth in my head. I wanted to take revenge on the market that did this to me… I wanted to do another quick w@nk!

But I have to stop myself from doing this… How? Well… by posting this on my blog… :)

Accountability to the world…

I SHALL NOT DO A QUICK W@NK WITH CYBORG!

Good advice! If I do say so myself… :)

NFA ~ New Ruling Might be Worrying

Since the first release of new regulations by the NFA on US brokers, I was a bit tad worried about my account with both IBFX and FXDD.

NFANFA is or had released these three new regulations…

* No Hedging
* First In First Out (FIFO)
* Not Allowing Stop Loss or Limit Order

Of all the three rulings release, it is the third rule that really got me really worried. But before I jump the guns… I had to find out what is it all about and what are the implications it will have on me. So I scour the internet and found this site is so far the best informative information about these new rulings.

The articles and comments posted are and I believe to be big whale professional traders. Trading million dollar accounts. I am just an amateur trader.. small time punter, automatically trading the market, toying around with robots, which trade on mini and micro account with small amount of capital..

Perfomances As Of End June 09

Filed Under (Performance) by Casey on 05-07-2009

It’s the time of the month again where I review my month end performances. But this time round I think I need to really look into this much more deeper. As June closes, it means half of the year has gone. So how did I fair? After numerous thoughts, and action change and philosophical ideals, did my performances changed?

Let’s have a look…

June09

Last month I came out slightly better… and it seems that I am slowly moving out of the rut from a month end total lost of $417 in April to -$65 in May and profit of $20.90 in June 09. Just to note… I have to deduct $100 because I added another $100 into my FXDD account to start trading Forex Barometer.

Overall my last half month was a failure. I have taken myself back $225 from my objective to recoup my initial capital. I am really hoping to break even by the end of this year, which is my target and goal for 2009.

And once that is done, my target is to recoup my initial investments on buying all these forex EA by mid 2010. Subsequently start profiting after mid 2010.

Bold? I don’t know… but at least it’s a goal.

Operation Blitzkrieg ~ Ready to Go

Filed Under (EA System) by Casey on 23-06-2009

It has been two weeks already since I started my training to assault EURUSD (Euro Blitzkrieg). And I must say… they seem ready.

Initial I have short listed about 7 mercenaries

  1. Forex Boomerang
  2. EuroBlaster
  3. Forex Transformer
  4. Pipzu
  5. Crusher
  6. Cyborg
  7. Forex Espionage

Out of all these 7 only 4 made it and was chosen. Forex Espionage was pretty obvious, it was a copy of Transformer. Bloody poser… So I would opted for transformer, since that EA was more credible… Cyborg, well… that EA was on martingale, and I don’t want a loose cannon on my team and Crusher only perform well on 4 digits account and fu(ked up some trades.

So it came down to only the top four. Now let’s see how they perform over the past two weeks no? (Click on graph to view full statement)

Impressive no?

Out of all the four EA, Forex Boomerang was the one that did the most work, second came EuroBlaster, third came Transformer while four came Pipzu.

Kind of unexpected… I would have assume that Pipzu would take the lead base on the backtesting result done initially. But whatever it was, these band of brothers seems to be doing really well.

EuroBlaster just got an upgrade to V2. So I hope to see more action from EuroBlaster. While I am still skeptical about Pipzu… I must wait until some conclusion can be made.

Since Boomerang has been impressive, I initially wanted to see if only Boomerang will perform as well LIVE. But I believe these sort of results is a combination of all four. I think if it was left alone, these sort of curve would not produced.

So what I did was put all four live on my Alpari account. Of course trading at only 0.01 lot… while at the same time continue with my demo testing. Just to see if both DEMO and LIVE results would be more or less the same. Maybe see if I can recruit any other EA to this mission.

We shall see….

Having backtested Fedora FX… I thought it would be a good idea to send back my result to Tom first and allow him to comment on it first before I write my ‘low down dirty Shane’ about it.

Tom has given me two EA, one of it is for GBPUSD which the performances is being advertising on his site while the other EA was for USDCAD. So I started with GBPUSD, while backtesting result for GBPUSD was excellent from 2008 to May 2009..

(Click on graph to view statement)

Fedora FX

Much needs to be said for USDCAD…

Fedora FX

So discarding USDCAD… I push the backtesting results for GBPUSD to 1999… And I was pretty sad with the results

A Quick Wank is a NO-NO!

Filed Under (Journal, Performance) by Casey on 15-06-2009

It’s confession time. At times I like to have a quick wank at forex. It is becoming too often and very scary and I believe I need to see a doctor about it…

You see… last thurday I thought I could get away with a quick shot on profit with Cyborg EA. I mean… hey I seem to be getting quite a good winning streak on my IBFX account with Cyborg. So… why not…

Devil The uttering of these two word ‘Why Not’ drew the devil inside of me. On top of that my chinese blood in me just had to scream ‘Punt! Punt! Punt! Punt!’

Gawd dang!! I am just sooooo weak…

I said to myself JUST one or two punt for that day. My luck could not be that bad right? I mean looking at how well Cyborg has been performing

So there I was… ok… maybe it wasn’t me. But somehow something happened and I move my risk level to 5% from my current 1% of my trading balance with Cyborg… ON ALL THREE CURRENCY PAIR!!

As the day have it… two trades were triggered at 0.56 lots on a $600 account balance going on a Martingale strategy on the first degree going up to 4.72 to the fourth degree!!

Who says this is not crazy risk, please raise up your hand?

Operation Blitzkrieg

Filed Under (EA System, Journal) by Casey on 10-06-2009

This is day 2 of operation Euro Blitzkrieg. I have set up all the EA on the demo ground to see how well it will perform on the training field.

Suffice to say… it was pretty tedious to set it up in an organize manner. It wasn’t easy but it has got to be done. To win the war… these soldiers must be ready. If they are not… then screw it.

As day 2 comes to an end… I found out more and more interesting things about these EA. Some were not what they are cut out for. But we shall see.

I have set up two different training ground. One demo platform is put in place to let them run freely without any control. Where else the other demo platform, the EA are controlled.

The controlled idea came about with I was reading and testing Firebird Driven. The reason for control is that because most of the EA has a very big stop loss level. The problem is that with big stop losses, all you need is one stop to whip your profits down to size.

And it would take a whole load of pips to get back on track. This is undesireable. And I believe what causes the see saw in the backtesting graph.

But this needs to be proven.. which EA needs to be control and which doesn’t. It is for that reason, I have set up two different demo to experiment.

I was trying to backtest other EA in my ‘To Be Tested’ folder… and as I was backtesting and backtesting and backtesting…

An idea popped up on my head…. But… before I dived into what this idea is about… I notice that during all these backtesting… a lot of the graph were see-saw shaped.

While the profit factor is interesting within the initial time period of 2008 till end May 2009… the see saw graph proves discouraging…

Maybe because I am brainwashed by the so called ‘smooth’ equity curve… like this one below

Equity Curve
(Will talk more about this in another post)

Or recently… like this linear graph below…

Linear Line
hehe.. this guy made no promise to me that he will share his secrets…
