Wow… if there is a useful EA that one needs to have, then you got to have this man…

Call me ignorant… but I have not scout around the forum long enough to really look for an EA such as this.

Ok… it’s not an EA per say but it’s more like a tool.  After I publish my previous article “Rem”ing the Brake on Xtreme Turbo, Jeremy for Easy-EA.com (Winalot and EAzeGor) read it and though it would be great for me to have his Trade Analyzer.

You wouldn’t believe how grateful I was… This really neat piece of tool which actually help me to filter my trades as per my post below in a more comprehensive manner….

“Rem”ing The Brake On Xtreme Turbo

Since Alpari was my worst performances for three consecutive months. Corrective action needs to be taken… Now before I ran my band of Euro brothers, and Easy-EA.com’s EA… I had three main scalping EA on this account. Mainly, FAPTurbo, RemExpert and Xtreme (both EURGBP and EURCHF)

Because these are scalping EAs… there have taken quite a lot of trades amongst themselves and thus, it was kinda difficult to see how well they performed. So with no other option… I had get down on my knees and start to disect my statement and analyze throughly what and how these three EA are doing.

So… what I did was I downloaded my statement from beginning of April 09 till end of June 09 since it was these period that I took a $hit load of losses. It was not easy…. but after painstaking toying around with my spreadsheet and I manage to get this out…

Over the past three months these was what happened… Read the rest of this entry »

Perfomances As Of End June 09

It’s the time of the month again where I review my month end performances. But this time round I think I need to really look into this much more deeper. As June closes, it means half of the year has gone. So how did I fair? After numerous thoughts, and action change and philosophical ideals, did my performances changed?

Let’s have a look…

June09

Last month I came out slightly better… and it seems that I am slowly moving out of the rut from a month end total lost of $417 in April to -$65 in May and profit of $20.90 in June 09. Just to note… I have to deduct $100 because I added another $100 into my FXDD account to start trading Forex Barometer.

Overall my last half month was a failure. I have taken myself back $225 from my objective to recoup my initial capital. I am really hoping to break even by the end of this year, which is my target and goal for 2009.

And once that is done, my target is to recoup my initial investments on buying all these forex EA by mid 2010. Subsequently start profiting after mid 2010.

Bold? I don’t know… but at least it’s a goal.

Operation Blitzkrieg ~ Ready to Go

Filed Under (EA System) by Casey on 23-06-2009

It has been two weeks already since I started my training to assault EURUSD (Euro Blitzkrieg). And I must say… they seem ready.

Initial I have short listed about 7 mercenaries

  1. Forex Boomerang
  2. EuroBlaster
  3. Forex Transformer
  4. Pipzu
  5. Crusher
  6. Cyborg
  7. Forex Espionage

Out of all these 7 only 4 made it and was chosen. Forex Espionage was pretty obvious, it was a copy of Transformer. Bloody poser… So I would opted for transformer, since that EA was more credible… Cyborg, well… that EA was on martingale, and I don’t want a loose cannon on my team and Crusher only perform well on 4 digits account and fu(ked up some trades.

So it came down to only the top four. Now let’s see how they perform over the past two weeks no? (Click on graph to view full statement)

Impressive no?

Out of all the four EA, Forex Boomerang was the one that did the most work, second came EuroBlaster, third came Transformer while four came Pipzu.

Kind of unexpected… I would have assume that Pipzu would take the lead base on the backtesting result done initially. But whatever it was, these band of brothers seems to be doing really well.

EuroBlaster just got an upgrade to V2. So I hope to see more action from EuroBlaster. While I am still skeptical about Pipzu… I must wait until some conclusion can be made.

Since Boomerang has been impressive, I initially wanted to see if only Boomerang will perform as well LIVE. But I believe these sort of results is a combination of all four. I think if it was left alone, these sort of curve would not produced.

So what I did was put all four live on my Alpari account. Of course trading at only 0.01 lot… while at the same time continue with my demo testing. Just to see if both DEMO and LIVE results would be more or less the same. Maybe see if I can recruit any other EA to this mission.

We shall see….

A Quick Wank is a NO-NO!

It’s confession time. At times I like to have a quick wank at forex. It is becoming too often and very scary and I believe I need to see a doctor about it…

You see… last thurday I thought I could get away with a quick shot on profit with Cyborg EA. I mean… hey I seem to be getting quite a good winning streak on my IBFX account with Cyborg. So… why not…

Devil The uttering of these two word ‘Why Not’ drew the devil inside of me. On top of that my chinese blood in me just had to scream ‘Punt! Punt! Punt! Punt!’

Gawd dang!! I am just sooooo weak…

I said to myself JUST one or two punt for that day. My luck could not be that bad right? I mean looking at how well Cyborg has been performing

So there I was… ok… maybe it wasn’t me. But somehow something happened and I move my risk level to 5% from my current 1% of my trading balance with Cyborg… ON ALL THREE CURRENCY PAIR!!

As the day have it… two trades were triggered at 0.56 lots on a $600 account balance going on a Martingale strategy on the first degree going up to 4.72 to the fourth degree!!

Who says this is not crazy risk, please raise up your hand?

Stupid Alfafa…

After sorting out backtesting PipMaker and also EuroBlaster… (which I put it in another post) I manage to test the one EA that was the source of my stupidity, laziness, carelessness and also my downturn on my account balance.

I backtested Alfaforex… and gees… not as impressive as I would have imagine. But it was funny… I did two same backtest and the result is different. Funny… Have a look
AlfaForex
Backtest one

AlfaForex
Backtest two

Now click on the image to draw up the statement… you will see that the parameter is the same but the profit factor are different…

So what does this say… firstly… backtesting does not seem to be consistent or my data are fu(ked up. Anyway… backtesting result model are 90% accurate as they stated it clearly or maybe even worst.

The curve looks good… it’s still profitable that I can say for sure… but when you put it live… and if you see the downtrend on your account… what do you do?? Of course you would stop it… But that is another dilemma isn’t it? The EA is profitable so what we need is persistence… rather than jumping the guns and look for the next holy grail no?

I did not want to stretch it over time… because I just don’t want to indulge in my own mistakes. While the profit factor is above one… it does not mean that the future results will yield that sort of results.

It has proven that on my real account… while it looked pretty on my demo.

I wanted to test EURCAD but there is something wrong with my data… could not get a single trade for EURCAD… Oh well… since I am going to chuck this one in the archive folder… Might as well give EURCAD a miss….

But I got a strong feeling that I might or will revisit this EA…. Why? Because of the fact that it is profitable… secondly, if I were to use my 2% rule… I should be able to come out tops… I think….

I was really procrastinating doing this update. I am so ashamed and do not want to accept the fact that May 09 was not as profitable as I wanted it to be.

Plainly… it was again due to stupidity. Sighh…. oh well… it needs to be done so that I can review previous month and correct it again this month.

Here is my result for end May 09

Backtest Dilemma No More – Final Cut

What can I say… some encouragement always goes a long way.

Twiddling Thumb So there I was twiddling my thumbs thinking what I should do, the itching feeling that this historical data download BS is really getting to me.

‘I will not relent!!’ I said to myself. And getting some encouragement from people (bless their heart) can really gets ones mojo going. I start to see things that I would have easily dismissed as ‘not the solution’.

I went back to my Alpari platform again and going things step by step and observe if I had missed anything…

I started from scratch…. uninstalled Alpari MT4… deleted all the folders and then reinstalled MT4 again. Once the platform launched, I do the usual; set  Tools > Options > Charts > Max bar in history to 999999999999. Then I proceed to history center and I double click on the currency pair to load the initial data.

And this is what I noticed

It’s time to post something about this EA. I have not only demo tested this EA but have also put it live. So it’s worth to write something about it.

Gawd dang!! This is one good EA!!

I think I shall let these images do the talking… and me adding some comments here and there…

Now this image is a demo test on Alpari. I initially tested USDCAD and BLOODY HELL!!! Don’t you think this should go live?!? Well, my thoughts exactly… this went live of course..

FAPTurbo vs REMExpert Part 2

Filed Under (EA System, Journal) by Casey on 16-05-2009

Ok… enough of blah blah… and getting back to work.

Previously I wrote a post FAPTurbo vs REMExpert and I compared how both these performed in comparison with each other. I also did mentioned that I would want to continue the testing for a few more weeks.

As of today… I think this will be the end of this comparison. I need to free up more resources to test new EA.

Previously my conclusion was ‘REMExpert manage to pull in 253.4 pips with 36 trades taken while FAPTurbo manage to pull in 156.3pips with 27 trades taken.’ between 16 April 2009 to 29 April 2009.

So now the testing continues from 4 May 2009 to 15 May 2009, ok ten days of trade. But results seem to have been tipped.  In that period, FAPTurbo manage to pull in 208.7pips with 40 trades and REMExpert pull in 130.1 pips with 30 trade.

So in total from (16 April 2009 – 29 April 2009; 4 May 2009 – 15 May 2009)

FAPTurbo got 365.0 pips over 67 trades
REMExpert got  383.5 pips over 66 trades
