I Tell You What I Want

I’ll tell you what I want, what I really really want,
So tell me what you want, what you really really want,
I wanna, I wanna, I wanna, I wanna, I wanna really
really really wanna MAKE SOME MONEY…  ha.

This is a ‘classic’ song from the good Old-Spice girl

But this song is really about ‘Wannabe’…

And do you know who I wanna be!!

I want to be like Birt!!! From http://eareview.net. Now birt is really popular in the forex EA world… I have not gotten a chances to really get to know him or even send an email to him… but from his site… I feel like chip & dale in a Mickey Mouse Club show…

Why do I say he the man?! Well… if you have visited his site… his review is the bong ye-all!

I wanted to emulate him… really really emulate him with regards to how detail he was with his backtesting and forward testing…

But… if you read his blog… you will understand that doing a detail review is no joke… and I mean no joke. I takes a lot of effort to not only research the capability of an EA but also to write about it.

Most of the time, what I write is really ad-hoc… What comes into my mind… I bang it on my blog.

That is one of the reason why at times my grammer and my spelling are similar to a 3 year old writing. 24 hours a day… what do you expect?

Priorities… no time to really think about grammar… Only time to think about making money… :)

With Birt… his review is well written and the standard of backtesting is well… 99% accurate. Something which I have been thinking about for a long while now but can’t find the time or excuse to put effort into it…

But recently he came back to the EA world after almost 10 months MIA. I am happy… because his blog is neatly written and great details are emphasize on his blog…

I guess at times we all just need a break. And i do at times think about taking a break from all this. But my Chinese culture does not allow me to do so… :) We gong-ho Chinese believe… “Work Hard and Fortune will come”

Now you know why Chinese never stop working… unless it’s Chinese New Year. But I’m no ordinary Chinese… I have mixed western values… That is one of the reasons why at times I slack a bit on the things that matter most… And I guess it shows on my account balance… :)

Anyway… recently Onur mentioned about forex combo. My research on this EA has led me to Birts blog again… and I must say… I am impressed. How can I not be? I listen to the MAN… And if the MAN says it’s the bong… it’s the bong. And I am planning to get high with it.

Well… I have already gotten high with it… on demo that is…

So… until then… I will probably go get high for a while and get back to blogging soon.

In the meantime… this ‘bong’ is going onto my BlogRoll link…

I am Defeated

Filed Under (Journal) by Casey on 11-10-2010

A sad day for me as I made a decision to put a hold on building my own EA.

It’s really frustrating especially for someone who is an amateur in programing. My idea was big… but my programming skills are just too puny to achieve what I wanted to achieve with my EA.

The idea that one EA to oversea the martingale robot on different currency is not as easy as I thought it would be. After busting my forth, fifth and sixth (fifth and sixth were not recorded on myfxbook) demo account, I went back to work… dissecting each code, algorithm, methodology and every line on the EA.

It took me whatever spare time I have to work on my EA… And it seems that I am getting no where with it.

I always put in my mind how Thomas Edison had to build 1000 defective bulb before he invented the first light bulb. Fu(k!!! I am only in revision 7 of my EA… Where do I have the time to see the other 993 revision?!?

Sighh… after putting much though on this I decided that I need to put this project in the KIV section. Until I either brush up on my programing skills or when for unknown reason my though itches towards this project again…

Somehow I feel so defected… it was a new year’s resolution that I did not achieve it. I have 2 more months for me to achieve this goal… but it seems that I have to give this up just before the year end…

Now… on the other hand if I were to look at it in a positive manner, I probably have achieved my resolution… :)

I said I wanted to build my own EA but I never really mentioned if it would work or not… On that angle, I have achieved my goal for 2010…

Ha!! What a way to feel good about a defeat.

Maybe in my 2011 new year’s resolution I probably need to refine the way I word my resolution… :)

I guess for now I have to fall back on other people’s EA before I can one day trade with my own EA… Forex Crescendo is still in my To Do List which needs to be ticked off.

And a few more other idea which needs to be acted upon to maintained my 5% return for 2010. I still have 2 and a half month to fulfill this resolution.
