Phew… it’s been a long while since my last blog. Ok… not all that long about 2 weeks I have been MIA and will be MIA for two more weeks.

I am way way way behind time with my deadline. And I am talking about my day job here. So behind time that the light at the end of the tunnel… hmmm… I don’t think there is any light in the end of the tunnel for me here.

Sighh…. any huuu…. I had to take some time out because I wanted to help an acquaintance of mine. And of course inform my visitors.

It seems that the scammers are back in town…

FOREX LEGEND IS A RIP-OFF OF A FREE EA!!!

Ha!! Short and straight to the point.

Unfortunately, I am in a rush and thus could not do a real research on how it is a rip off.

But I have reason to believe the developer of the free EA himself. He was the one who contacted me and ask me to do a post.

And of course, a quick browse here and there kind of confirms this.

I probably will do another write up on this in more detail… but for now… take it from me.

It’s a rip off of Cacus’s free EA which you can download here.

http://www.forexmt4.com/Cacus/ (Raw download from the server)

I have to take my leave now and look for my light at the end of my tunnel with regards to my day job. Or else I am going to get fired!

So… just leave this EA alone and don’t part you hard earn money. Because FOREX LEGEND IS FIRED!!

Dividend Received

I thought that I would want to separate this with my monthly update. The closing and posting of my monthly update is mainly due to my forex rebate.

And as always, I promote CashBackForex. One of the many ways to receive my monthly ‘Dividend’ from forex. Now who says forex is dull.

Forex Rebate needs to be looked at separately when I put my EA to work. If my EA works well… I get dividend from it’s effort. When it does not do well, the effort from my robots will help compensate these times of need.

It’s a strategy that needs to be looked at as a whole, and much have been said in my report about this strategy. Like any company that looks at their dividend receive from stocks holdings. I look at forex rebate as dividend received and consolidate it to my total profits from Forex.

Now let me once again update to you the interesting impact on forex rebates.

Here is my FXOpen account taking into consideration of my rebates Read the rest of this entry »

June has been kind to me. Probably because I am happy that my Alpari account is catching up. Without further ado… I present to you my update as of June 2010

It ain’t impressive but a positive month end closing is a step forward.

I thought this time round I will let the result speaks for itself… using my Trade Analyzer, I thought it would be nice to see how each EA that I have placed on my live account fair.

Forex Martingale Showcase V – Martin Locker King

I have a dream that one day we can see profits in our account utilizing the best technology in the forex industry that is the forex expert adviser and live happily ever after…

Siggh… how I wish it was that simple. And like the struggle of Martin Luther King, IT AIN’T GONNA BE EASY, as I continue to search for the best ea and profit from it…

Coming back to showcasing this other Martingale EA…

This EA came from the same developer as FX Pitbull. As the same story goes, the developer was kind enough to issue a free copy of this EA to me. And as the same story goes again, I have tested it but never got around to post anything about it until today.

I’m going to go straight to the point…. This EA is damn expensive compared to Pitbull… $399 vs $199 and this EA only trades ONE currency pair vs Pitbull ALL currency pair.

Took a quick look at the codes and I believe that the algorithm between both MLK and Pitbull are somewhat similar… but it seems the both the characteristic of the trades differs between both these EA.

While I do not understand the logic behind this… I thought it would be interesting to do some analysis.

Social networking is pretty interesting when it comes to other general stuff of interest. But when it comes to Forex… I feel that it is kind of dry. Don’t you think?

I mean take Twitter for instances… Just recently I got like a bunch of ‘people’ followed me after my previous posts. I was like wow… interesting… but somehow or rather something was not quite right.

If you get username like Forex ______ it kind of raise some curiosity.

So I check out their profiles… These fu(kers are actually promoting their product via twitter. I mean it’s all fair and equal in the ground of what one wants to use a platform for… but what surprises me most is this…

Forex Martingale Showcase IV – FX Pitbull

Woof! Woof! Bark! Grrrr…. Bark! Bark! Grrrr… Woof!

Yes, I know Fido. I was looking at it when it was launched a few months back…

Bark! Bark! Woof!

Well… I did not look deeper into it because I was focusing more on Scalping EA… and not much on Martingale EA eventhough it looked interesting.

Grrrr….

I know… I know… the developer busted a few demos when he was displaying it on his myfxbook… Why do you think I put it my thoughts on this EA on hold?

Woof! Woof! Woof!

Ok Fido… why don’t you be a good boy and sit. Let me tell this story…

About three weeks ago… the developer made a mass email to a few EA reviewers to test out his EA by giving a free copy to them. I was honored to be one of them. So of course I had to take jump at this opportunity.

If you don’t know it yet, Pitbull EA and Martin Locker King (MLK for short) was developed by the same developer.

You can actually check out his myfxbook page.

Got My Green Strips

Filed Under (Passing Thoughts) by Casey on 07-07-2010

I have to admit… While I am flattered at being noticed in myfxbook’s blog, I did not expect to be acknowledge or rather be vouched by them.

Imagine my surprise when I found out that after I wrote my previous post, I got my green strips by myfxbook.com

My previous post was meant to glorify myself. Wouldn’t you tell people about it if your name or your face was mentioned or captured in a photo?

I mean… It’s like the camera just decided to point the camera at a position in a stadium packed with spectators and voila… my face was caught at the right place and right time. So… I start to blab about it… saying this and that and what not…

One thing that I forgotten was that when one person link directly to a blog posts, it creates a trackback to the posts… The guys caught my comment and subsequently offered to put me in their vouching system.

Again, while flattered… I can not but feel embarrass. It was like I was trying really hard to impress them to give me something that most of the members there earned.

Those who earned their strips are those members who continuously contribute to their community forum. For me, it was just a post here and there and nothing very substantial which would help speed up ones learning curve by listening me.

However… having said that, I feel that over the years I have but gain some experiences and shared with everyone who visited my blog. May it be stupid, funny, angry or even down right unethical.

Whatever it maybe… getting acknowledge by a site which has grown and become so popular is indeed something…

So… YOU PEOPLE BETTER LISTEN TO ME IF YOU WANT TO SPEED UP YOUR LEANING CURVE… Cause I am going to continue blogging about well… anything that makes sense to me in forex.

Mini Compliment…

Well… today I got a very interesting surprise…

MyFXBook just release a new improvement to their every improving site. They are the best… BEST BEST BEST!!

I just love them…

Anyway… there is a reason for me to compliment myfxbook. You see… When they added a new vouching system guess who they choose to be made an example of…

YES… Yours truly…

http://blog.myfxbook.com/2010/07/04/vouching-system/

This new vouching system as the blog puts it ‘… will help you identify experienced and trusted users and hopefully it will speed up your learning curve by knowing who to listen to :)

Well of all the people they choose… :)

However… this vouching system only works when a person who has already been vouched for vouches for you. So myFXBook starts with vouching for people in the community. Only then can this vouching system starts.

So… if you haven’t been vouch for you can’t vouch for others.

And unfortunately for me… While I maybe an example used in their explaination… I was not vouch for by myfxbook… :(

No green bar… how sad…

But what the hell… these sort of thing is just small thing to boost the pride. I already got my pride boosted with me being the goat… :)

With that… I guess I have just  made myself a good example of ‘A fox that could not reach the grapes’… hehe

Slicing it Both Ways

Forex Martingale Showcase III – The New Megan EA

Now this is an interesting EA which I stumble upon. Initially I thought it just another Martingale EA, but I soon discover it was not your ordinary Martingale EA.

Why? Because this particular EA slice it both ways.

Most of the normal Martingale EA run on a basis of having a drawdown, while taking a fix small profit. And that is what I consider to be an ordinary Martingale EA. But what is not so ordinary about this Martingale EA is that it also does take the other way, which I will define this as the opposite of drawdown. This EA also have a ‘draw-up’

While drawdown means a -ve equity balance, a draw-up would mean a +ve equity balance. Hmmm…. somehow or rather I have never heard of a term which describe a +ve equity balance.

Anyway… apart from this EA, there is another commercial martingale EA that works on this principle which I will write about it in the next showcase.

Ok back to this new Megan EA.
