So… what else can I say… I have still not successfully claimed my place in the automatic forex world. It is sad… really sad. But I can not give up.
After my ranting a few days ago. This is my forex position at the end of July 09
What was filled with hope ended with dismay… Four months of continuous lost. Not good… not good at all…
Alpari UK
With Winalot and EAezGor leading this account… It is pretty depressing to say that EAezGor was the one that was pulled down my profits from Winalot. And Winalot was not winning a lot of trades to help dampen these lost. So sad… And boomerang also was not performing as well as I hoped.
While I will not give EAezGor another chances, I think I would probably give Winalot another try… As for boomerang, well… the profit factor is still very low but it is still profitable for me. So that too will take some part in this account.
IBFX
Well… All I can say for this account is ‘Ouch!’ The drawdown was due to me getting slapped silly by EURUSD. Took a big chunk out of my account. I believe everyone was caught. Even the EA developer himself. Last I heard, he has changed his strategy, a new EA version is out and a new set has been put in place.
But if I were to put it in a bigger picture sort of angle… I believe I am still running on a healthy profit. Over the past three months since May 09 I have achieve $166.13 in profits… on top of a $427.76 balance at the end of April 09. Which means I made a healthy 38.83% profit.
Calculated financially, it would be about 23.29 % compounded return over 3 months…. I think the calculation is correct… Present Value=-127.76, Future Value=593.89, Period=3, Payment=(166.13/3months) so I would get a return of 23.29%. I guess some financial person can verify if my calculations are correct.
What ever it is… I guess it is still good. The only thing now is I need to be careful to not trade Cyborg during news hour. I believe that was the reason for getting caught.
FXDD
Well… S26 did not perform as well as it stated on it’s page. Pretty lousy if you ask me. I lost my 30days support and what I had gain last month I practically lost more than I have gain with S26. As for NNMaster… I could not take the drawdown. So I stopped using it…
So the question is should I continue? Well… maybe not. I will need to put this on KIV for the moment and think if I should totally scrap this EA or just leave it until I find an idea for it.
Most likely I will KIV this EA until I find an idea.
FXOpen
It’s a toying account. I have been toying it with DragonPips but the losses was not due to DragonPips. I tired to use S26 on this account and as you can see… It screwed up my account. But nevertheless. I think i should leave FXOpen for scalping EA….
Maybe… maybe…
Well… another month another lost. It was pretty sad. But as I mentioned previously I need to reset and reboot my automatic trading… Except for my IBFX account with Cyborg since as a whole I am still on the right track that account should continue and probably Boomerang and Winalot for Alpari.
But for the rest of my account and EA. I think I will take a break from trading it for the time being.

I have MACD-X from FXB. It’s not doing so great too. However July was a bad month for everyone. I hope August will be a better month.
Hi Casey,
There’s no getting away from the fact that EAzeGor has had a torrid time these last few weeks and the last thing we would ever do is to try and gloss it over or hide from the truth.
I do suggest though that you persist with it though.
Firstly, the drawdown since the market started ranging in June has only represented a small part of the profits for the rest of the year. Secondly, the market has been ranging heavily of late. You’ve only got to stick a EMA50 on a daily chart to see the moving average flatlining and the price oscillating either side of the ma. These are hardly conditions condusive to the success of a trending EA. Thirdly, the drawdowns that you have seen are still within the expectations as shown from the Strategy Tester. If you’re going to trust a system based upon the results from the tester, it’s important not to panic out on the live drawdowns if they are within expectations.
I can’t promise you that the EA will recover tomorrow, next week or next month, but I do know that it will recover and that you shouldn’t be alarmed by the drawdowns you have seen. It just needs the market to start trending again and then I expect you to recover your losses quite quickly. I think you’ll be pleasantly surprised at how quickly that can happen!
Regarding Winalot, it is actually profitable in terms of pips although it looks as though you may have missed a few trades as you only seem to be showing 18 there. I suspect it has been destabilised slightly because of the poor EAzeGor performance on the same account.
Your impartiality is valued and it’s important that the bad points of an EA should be shown in a similar light to the good points.
Hey kittisakh yep.. July was a month to forget with the EAs ..
I’m keenly watching your Winalot results, Casey.
I’ve seen very few (two) Winalot mt4stats published – one very popular one appears to have busted the account with some apparently odd risk settings, and another seems to be profitable despite periodic setbacks though is up overall (+$228 wins / -$142 losses). Easy-EA’s own stats on the website are out of date by a couple of months.
Who to trust, eh?
build your own EA ! It cant be worse than the comercial BS..
Try super scalper EA, I’m using it now and its working great so far. Trading course is included also so your getting info at the same time. Go to http://www.udaytrading.com, hopefully that helps
@Easy-EA thanks for your input.
@TacticalTrader well.. I guess the best is to trust your instinct no?
@Onur first things first…. learn MQL, another idea would be to take an EA and completely reverse it…
@Amber erm… no offences, but i think it would really help if you provide live statement of your EA performances. While I may not doubt your capability in manual trading. I doubt the figures you put on your site. I do not think it is hard to put up live statements on your site no??
TacticalTrader,
I’ve been using Winalot now for around 5 months and I can say categorically that there’s no way at all that it would blow an account. Not only that, it’s very profitable. It’s more than doubled my account in that time and I use it low risk.
I also read Donna’s forum. I’m inclined to believe the other posters when they suggested that Donna copied her trades from a larger account to a smaller account.
Been using the SuperScalper Ea for a couple of months now and I’m happy with the results. Everyone else I know blew up their accounts in July. LC is patient and knows when to take profits. I let him do all the work. Check him out.
Cheers
