Mystical vs Awesome

After posting Awesome Analyzer, I got an email from a visitor who gave me an another alternative to Easy-EA.com Trade Analyzer EA… which is free.

This is a free script by Patrick S. Nouvion, I must say this is a pretty cool site… Mistigri.com. Neat and simple.

This guy really put a lot of effort in producing the videos and detailing from A to Z about his tools. I would give him the thumbs up…

Anyway, I downloaded his trade analyzer and just to check out what it is all about. And it produce a very neat report…

Not only does it gives to you the total trades summary like your normal MT4 report but it also goes further to give you a good breakdown summary on each currency pair.

With a neat report like this, the question here is how to utilize this report and work on it.

Let’s see shall we… By using my trading example. It would be pretty difficult and with information that I require.

I trade multiple EA, at times three EA on one currency, so how do I know which EA is pulling the pips and which is not?

Unless I only trade one EA per currency pair, then this report would be obvious… EA Z is trading EURGBP. Thus… from the report above… I know what seems to be the problem. I might then set this EA to only go short… Or I can tweak the EA/open another chart… EA Z to trade long @ 0.1 lots while the other chart EA Z will trade short @ 0.3. That might prove interesting…

But what if I have two or three EA trading the currency? How do I know which EA to tweak? Which EA to stop using?

So that is the only down side I found on this trade analyzer. Ok… maybe there is another downside to this report. It’s too long. I have to scroll down to view the shorts.

Easy-EA.com’s trade analyzer would fit that need to dissect this report further but it also give a one screen snap shot of how each EA is doing…

But of course, each to it’s own…While this free alternative is really wonderfully neat, it lacks the detail which I search for in a report to know what corrective action I need to take.

However, having said that… this report is also cool in such a way, it can give you a very big overall picture. Isn’t that what we start looking at first?

Hmmm…. Probably I can fine tune my robots further by first using Mistigri’s report to have the big picture, then using Easy-EA.com to dissect it further to see which EA is pulling down the pips or pulling the pips in.

Subsequently, we go back to Mistigri’s report to see if we need to tweak the trade direction to maximize our pips…. Not a bad idea right… :)

On the side note… there is another script that is a killer from Mistigri… it’s the MSFX – Calender. Well, after having some slight problem with S26, I learn that this EA should not be traded during major CHF news… I started digging for a way to have a good’s eye view about the news that is coming out… ForexFactory.com seems to be the best news birds eye’s view site. But this would mean I need to open up the site every week to check the news out.

This neat little tool actually helps one to just see what news are coming up with respect to the currency pair… You can filter only the news relevant to the pair ON THE CHART ITSELF!! So one does not need to switch from one window to another and search for news that are coming up with respective to the currency pair….

Now that is neat… At the time of writing, I am currently installing this script on my VPS… just to see how it looks. Sorry no screenshot here. But if you go over to Mistigri’s site, you can check out his video and see how it works…

One thing though, it is in beta version and will expire on the 25 July 2009. Don’t know what will happen next… he might charge, he might offer for free…

Well… in the meantime… one can check it out… This site is going onto my blog roll…  :)
