Well… I was busy trying to enterprise my blog a bit… So had to wait a few days before writing this up.
Anyway… as the title suggest. This EA is non other than the FREE EA… Thunder 4WD EUR GBP V1.
This was pretty awkward. I manage to backtest this EA from 2008 till End May 2009. But when I started to backtest this further back to 1999… I got this error…
When I retested this EA again from 2008… I got the same error…
That means the above graph and statement was like a one time thing that I manage to get it done… And here is the funny thing… I don’t know what the hell I did to get the previous backtest result… I tried this and that and this again but still I got the error as above…
Heck I even followed the same parameter as the statement shown but still got the error… I was pretty frustrated at the end…
But……. there is not point getting messed up over it. I really wanted to backtest it from 1999 before I put this on demo coz it is pretty interesting. At a lot size of 0.1 this EA manage to pull in a profit factor of 1.91!
Oh well… I am going to put it on demo anyhow to see how well this EA does…
The author of this EA is the same one that wrote the Your Lucky V2 EA which is touted as one of the Best Free EA around. Pretty consistent results with occasional drawdowns.
Yes.. it is the same author… I have tested this one… but Lucky seems to perform badly… I need to retest this EA again…
forward test of lucky over the last 5 weeks shows 7% profit, this is a way better performance than most of the commercial crap EAs. I think its worth to take a closer look at thunder too. The author seems to know his business
